DSLR Photography Course Two
Learning new techniques and controlling exposure

Who is the course for?
Photographers who have gain some experience using their DSLR cameras and understand about Apertures, Shutters Speeds, Depth of Field but unsure how to apply those techniques creatively.

The learning environment
We begin by learning about controlling exposure with apertures and shutter speeds, and understanding histograms. We will travel by car to the river Bulbourne in Hemel Hempstead photographing a waterfall using creative blur. Here you will learn how to use ND and ND Grad filters, exploring the landscape creating more balanced exposures.

After lunch macro photography using Kenko Extension Tubes or a macro lens if you have one.
RAWs and their usage will be explained, along with flash guns. During the final seciton of the day 'image construction' you will have the chance to create your own compositions. Using the techniques demonstrated earlier in the day, you will be able to use your skills to create your own compositions and juxtapositions.

Aim of the course
Although you will need some understanding of Apertures, Shutter Speeds, Stops and ISO, you will learn how to understand them and apply them creatively.
